Our Privacy Promise
MendVibe is built with privacy as a core principle. We understand that co-parenting communication is sensitive and personal. We've designed our service to protect your privacy while providing valuable assistance.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Email address (for authentication and account management)
- Account creation date and last login
- Subscription status and payment information (processed by Stripe)
Usage Information
- Number of messages processed (for usage limits)
- Feature usage patterns (anonymized)
- Error logs and performance metrics (no personal content)
What We DON'T Collect
- Message text in our database - We do not write the message you submit, or the rewrite, into our database. That text is sent to Cloudflare (AI Gateway), Anthropic, and OpenAI to produce the rewrite.
- Personal details - We don't collect names, addresses, or other personal information
- Co-parent information - We don't store information about your co-parent or children
- Legal case details - We don't collect information about court cases or legal proceedings
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
- Essential Cookies: We use session cookies for authentication and service functionality
- Analytics: We use privacy-focused analytics to understand service usage (no personal identifiers)
- Third-Party Cookies: Authentication (Clerk) and payment (Stripe) services may set cookies
- No Advertising Cookies: We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking across websites

2. How We Use Your Information

Data Sharing Limitations
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. The services listed above process data solely to provide MendVibe functionality.
3. Data Storage and Security
Where a rewrite is produced
When you ask for a rewrite, the message text is sent to Cloudflare AI Gateway, which forwards it to Anthropic. If Anthropic does not return a rewrite, the same text is sent to OpenAI. The current models are Claude Haiku 5.5 for a free account, Claude Sonnet 5.5 for an active paid subscription, and GPT-4o Mini as the fallback.
We have not confirmed whether Cloudflare AI Gateway keeps request or response logs, or for how long.
What we store
- Account email and subscription status, from Clerk and Stripe
- Usage counts, and request metadata such as a hash of the prompt, provider, model, and tone
- Connections are encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Sign-in is handled by Clerk.
Message text and rewrite text are not columns in our database. No automatic deletion period is set for the account and usage records we do store. The free-rewrite counter shown in the app is kept in your browser.
Third-Party Services
We use the following services to provide our functionality:
- Clerk - Authentication and user management (privacy policy: clerk.com/privacy)
- Stripe - Payment processing (privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy)
- Cloudflare AI Gateway - Receives message text and routes it to the model provider (privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacy)
- Anthropic and OpenAI - They receive message text in order to produce a rewrite. We do not control how long they keep it.
4. Your Rights and Choices
Access and Control
- Sign in and view the account email Clerk has on file

The app does not offer a data download or an in-app account deletion control, and no automatic deletion period is set.
5. Legal Compliance
Family Court Considerations
Important: We do not write message text into our database. The text is still sent to Cloudflare, Anthropic, and OpenAI. Anything you copy and send can be part of a later legal process. Consider asking your attorney about your situation.
Data Protection Laws

Legal Requests
We may disclose account information (but not message content, as we don't store it) if required by law, court order, or legal process. We will notify you of such requests unless legally prohibited from doing so.
6. Children's Privacy
MendVibe is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you become aware that someone under 18 has created an account, please contact us immediately.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
8. International Users
MendVibe is operated in the United States. If you are accessing our service from outside the US, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located.
